FW: No EDP tonight September 7, fields are closed

This just in from the town…

Directors, Coaches, Coordinators

Due to standing water, all fields are closed for today’s  practice or games. We have posted on Face Book and amherstrec.org.

We will keep a close eye on them for tomorrow’s use and keep you informed.

This Week in EDP

Hi EDP-
Tonight is our first training session, unless the fields are closed, or there is thunder/lightening.  Some reminders:
1.       This week is Wed and Fri training ONLY – no Sat this week.  We are at Upper Wilkins from 5:15 to 6:30, please be ON TIME, with cleats, ball, and water.  If there is a cancellation we will send an e-mail ASAP.
2.       Check out the new EDP website.  The best feature is that all e-mails are captured there, so if you misplace some information, you can find it at http://asc-edp.blogspot.com/.   So, any cancellations will show up on the website as an e-mail (this will help if your family has multiple e-mail addresses that are not in the new system).
3.       It is not too late for your friends to sign up, encourage them, and these are your future team-mates and the more skills they get now, the better your team will be in the future.
See you on the field!

EDP Notices - schedules, volunteers, free soccer ball...

Hi ASC/HFC Families-
We are nearing the start of the EDP season.  There are a few things we would ask you to read/consider:
1)  U10s have practice tomorrow night (Sept. 1) 6-7:30 at Cemetery Fields.
2)  Remainder of EDP will start Sept. 7th at 5:15 at Upper Wilkins
3)   We are looking for a new Registrar…please consider volunteering if you are organized, and want to help us to be more organized.  Over the years we have been blessed with amazing volunteers that help to keep our program organized.  We are always in need of more volunteer help, but right now we are in need of a new Club Registrar!  This position is responsible for player and team registrations and administration (rosters, playercard, etc.)  We are looking for someone who has time to devote to this position, is organized and has good communication skills.  Our new online registration system, GotSoccer, will make this position much easier than it has been to date. If you are interested please contact Peter Camello at Peter.Camello@FoyInsurance.com
4)     Please read about the Uniroyal Soccer Program in the text below .  You can get a free soccer ball at Pete's Tire Barns Inc, while supplies last.
